Our success with the adopted government schools made us want to take this idea further. In 2017 we constructed a state-of-the-art pre-school – Morning Glory - adjoining our resort in Coorg. The management of the school, although fully funded by the Trust, was handed over to an educational foundation in Bengaluru - Building Blocks in 2018. The beneficiaries of this free rural school will be the children of plantation workers, tribal communities and other underprivileged from our immediate neighbourhood.

                                                    

Building Blocks is well known for its novel tools and teaching methodologies including an innovative curriculum that is designed to stimulate academic, social and physical skills needed to form well-rounded children and ready them for admission into some of the good English Medium schools in the region.

 

These students will move on to Grade/Class 1 in the nearby Trust-adopted Government school or other English Medium Schools in the region to commence their formal education. It is our hope that their pre-school years at Building Blocks will give them the foundation upon which to build great lives for themselves and their communities.

 

Morning Glory does not charge any fee from the children and provides the following facilities:

• Healthy Breakfast, Mid-morning Snack and Lunch prepared in the school

• All stationery including Books and other writing and reading material

• State-of-the-art classrooms that are equipped with computers, Internet, TVs and the best teaching aids.

• Play area

• The finest in classroom furniture

• Separate clean and child-adapted toilets for girls and boys

 

Trust's vision is to focus on the construction of more such schools over the years in rural India.

 

However, the Trust invites interested individuals or organizations to partner with us in sponsoring the education of students.
